Low-Cost Ultrasound
We offer free or low-cost ultrasounds. An experienced and licensed clinician will review your ultrasound and answer your questions. An appointment lasts about an hour.
What is a pregnancy ultrasound?
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waives to measure how far along your pregnancy is. We only use ultrasounds to date your pregnancy and to confirm it is in your uterus. The standard fee for an ultrasound is $150, but if you cannot afford the fee, you can pay what you can (or receive the ultrasound for free).
We also provide free pregnancy tests with immediate results.
Purpose:
Confirm pregnancy
Determine gestational age
Ensure the pregnancy is in your uterus
Our ultrasounds are NOT intended for other diagnostic purposes.

More Information
How does it work?
We use point of care ultrasounds. Ultrasounds are also called sonograms. We use small ultrasound devices that are gently put on the abdomen (belly), using ultrasound gel to help create a better picture. The utlrasound technician uses gentle pressure — sonograms do not cause pain.
We have licensed clinicians who will review your ultrasound images and meet with you remotely by video or in person to explain the results and answer your questions.
We are usually able to see the pregnancy clearly using an abdominal ultrasound if it has been at least five weeks since your last period. If you are less than 5 weeks pregnant, we may not even able to see the pregnancy clearly. In that case, we will offer you a transvaginal ultrasound — this is optional.
What is a transvaginal ultrasound?
If you are very early in your pregnancy — less than five weeks from the first day of your last period — it may be difficult to see the pregnancy using an abdominal ultrasound. Using a transvaginal ultrasound makes it easier to see very small pregnancies. This is optional. Our providers are happy to offer you the care you need, whether or not you choose to have a vaginal ultrasound.
Can you see the sex of the embryo or fetus?
We only offer ultrasounds to date early pregnancies. The sex is not visible in early pregnancies.
What else can you see on ultrasounds?
We only offer ultrasounds to date early pregnancies. We don’t offer ultrasounds to diagnosis other conditions.
Can you see an ectopic pregnancy on ultrasound?
Ectopic pregnancies (often called tubal pregnancies) are when the pregnancy grows outside the uterus. Ectopic pregnancies are sometimes visible on ultrasound. When they are very small, they are diagnosed through blood tests. If we do not see a pregnancy in the uterus, the licensed clinician will talk with you about how to find out if you have an ectopic pregnancy.
